- Size medium has a 46" body length and an 11" sleeve length. Dress length is taken from the high point of the shoulder and changes 0.5" between sizes. Sleeve length changes 0.25" between sizes.

The fabric drapes without clinging. I love the harmony between the boatneck (which shows off collarbones perfectly) and the elbow-length sleeves. The waist nips in becomingly even though there's no seam to cut off the length of your look, but there's seaming at the hips that's cleverly shaped to give a little swirl to the skirt. That'll be fun for dancing at a wedding! I do have a minor complaint. The fabric has a very fine rib, and the printing is on the surface of the ribs, not in the valleys in between. I am full-busted but slim hipped -- my shirt size is one size higher than I wear in jeans or skirts. On me, the dress fits perfectly everywhere but the bust, where it's ever so slightly too tight -- not terribly so, just a little bit. It wouldn't show with most fabrics, but with this dress the ribs pull open just a little bit, exposing the paler fabric between them, and that emphasizes the bust and shows the slight tightness there. I thought about exchanging for the next size up, but that would make the rest of the dress too big -- so instead I tried it with various bras and finally found one that, with a slip, doesn't create that stretch. (Also if I lose two or three pounds, it'll be fine.) So, I'll keep the dress and I'm looking forward to wearing it. It has a flattering fit, and the sleeve length is perfect for transition seasons. The weight of the cotton is sufficient that it drapes well without clinging, and it is substantial enough for cooler days or well air conditioned rooms. The color is perfect for my palette.
